Conversion from ipc old syllabus to new syllabus completed group 1 had exemption in Costing(CFM)

I want to convert from ipc old syllabus to new syllabus, I heard that if we have exemption in costing & financial management (CFM) in old syllabus group-1 , we get exemption in FM group-2 new syllabus. is it right? is there any condition for getting this exemption? I completed my group-1 two years back( i.e. I gave 4 attempts for group -2 )

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the conversion from the old IPCC syllabus to the new syllabus, specifically regarding exemptions. A key question is whether an exemption in Costing & Financial Management (CFM) from Group 1 of the old syllabus transfers to the new syllabus. It's confirmed that if you've cleared Group 1 of IPCC, converting to the new syllabus means you'll need to appear for specific papers in Group 2, but the exemption in FM & Eco (Paper 8) is generally applicable, though some users express confusion during exam application.

Yes, you are right.

Since you have already cleared your G1 of IPCC, so if you convert now to new syllabus, then to pass G2 or IPCC as a whole, you will have to appear for Unit-10 under new syllabus, i.e. Paper 5, 6 & 7 (Adv. A/c, Audit, EIS&SM) and Paper 8, i.e. FM & Eco, will not be applicable for you.
