Continuing CA final after getting ATC degree

Friends,

I knw that this is not the forum where I post this kind of questions. But its my favoraite and the one where most discussion takes place. So here goes.....

My friend has passed out PE 2 before a few years. Now he wants to take the ATC (Accounting technician cource) qualification and also wants to continue with the CA final exam. Can he do so? If so, is there any guidelines on this? Any regulation that specifies this type of situation?
