Consulting to usa - tax filing in india

Efiling 524 views 2 replies

HI, I have started consulting from 2013 supporting US client and I am getting paid in Forex every week.

I want to know, how do I file my taxes and when. Does that include in the Normal Income slab? Or I heard the contractors need to pay 10% if the income generated.

Can anyone help me there.

Consulting fees will be your gross receipts. You may get deduction of eligible expenses. and the net income would be taxable as per normal slab rates if you provide consultancy in individual capacity. 10% clause is for TDS which wont be applicable in your case.
Also please take the benefit of DTAA in your case if you have paid taxes on income earned in usa. Regards
