21575 views 12 replies

GST practitioner is denying to give GSTN userid and password.

He has provided his mobile number and mail id while registration.

Is there any possibility of changing mobile number and mail id or reseting userid and password without otp.

Right Raja PM Sir

I had the same problem. Visit your juridictional officer they will reset the same within minutes. Please carry proper documents like a request letter for password/username/mobile no./email change, valid ID Proof and authorisation from client to represent before the officer.

Just submit a letter to the regional jursdictional officer, requesting for change of the authorised signatory (Stating the Name, Mobile number and Mail ID). They will reset  the same. Letter must be on your letter head or carry the proof of registration and ID proof.

PLEASE SPECIFY THE FORMAT OF LETTER SUBMITTING  TO JURISDICTION OFFICER FOR CHANGE IN USER ID &  PASSWORD

Can we courier the documents??

1. Taxpayer is required to approach the concerned jurisdictional Tax Officer to get the password for the GSTIN allotted to the business Jurisdiction can be checked through Search Taxpayer option available on GST Portal. Allotted jurisdiction is displayed in red text 2. Taxpayer would be required to provide valid documents to the tax officer as proof of his/her identity and to validate the business details related to his GSTIN. There is no specific format for submitting letter to jurisdiction officer.

Please use the attached format, after making required modifications.
