Confusion about 1/6th or 1/7th articleship leave rule and th
What is the leave entitlement: 1/6th of period served or 1/7th of total articleship period served for an old CA final student gone through PE-II? The 1/6th rule seems unjust as it does not actually consider the real period of articleship of 1095 days as base but uses a notional base period varying from student to student depending on the number of days he has taken leave. I want to know whats applicable to me; I began articleship in Feb 2007. Also, is the 35 hour week applicable to an old final student like me? Please someone help fast, times runnin out for me!

both 1-6 and 1/7 are same
as an example total period is 365
leave alloted 365/7 =52 days
now net articleship should be done is 365-52=313
and 1/6 of 313 is also 52
and for these calculations your status is not relevent(either final or pcc, either old or new scheme), 35 hrs is applicable to all
