Sir,

I  would seriously like to have a look at the list of candidates who have scored 190-199 in one group and 380-399 in both groups.... Life is really hard for them....

I am in that category.... i need 6 marks from becoming a CA..... Very near yet so far... for six marks i have to wait 6 more months.....

Thanks

Dear freinds,

Congratts to all who became Chartered Accountants today.

May god give you happy and prosperous life ahead.

But I want to say something also to those students who didnt cleared this time.

As we all are aware of the passing percentage for past few attempts. It is decreasing drastically from last 3-4 attempts and this time it was 3.46%, a pathetic figure for CA Final students who gave May 2010 attempt, and also for those who are giving attempts for last 3-4 atempts but didnt cleared this time also.

If this is becoz of economic recession or slowdown, or may be becoz industry cannot absorb sufficient CA's, then why should only we bear the consequencies.

Institute is decreasing pass percentage every attempt at final level  to regulate the release of CA's, but as per my opinion this is not the way to balance industry's demand for CA's.

A student, who has spent 4 or 5 rigourous years for reaching at final level is blocked at the final level for so long, it is not good for future of this industry. It feels like cheated for the students who are studying hard and working in harsh conditions so that one day they will become CA.

If regulating the release of CA's is the only motive of institute, then why should it be at Final level, why not at the entry level itself. Institute should make these barriers at the entry level by incerasing the required percentage to become eligible for this course, so that student could decide at an early stage whether he should opt for this course or not, instead of demoralising at the final level, which is a point of no return.

I m writing all this to make you all think on this issue. It is my personal opinion, it may not be acceptable to many of you. Thats why, we'll have further discussions on this issue depending upon the replies posted.

Everyone who read this is requested to post some reply on this issue.

Tatz 100% true if institute want to reduce o control the passing % then they should do it at CPT level only because at that time after giving 3-4 attempts at least they can go for ither course but those who are blocked at Final Level after spending 4-5 precious years they can not return back or opt for some other course. So in my opinion CPT only should be made tougher so that  very less students enter at PCC and Final Level as Institute wants very few to pass at Final Level.

First of all there no  such evidence 2 say dat it is da way da institue do wid us.

but if it is so den its really not been a proper control mechanism to regulate the ca 's demand & supply.

There was good results on November 2008 and  june 2009. But after that the trend become worster.

There  are large number of studens who were pursuing PCC and CPT course. If there any restriction  being imposed will affect the student flow and loss of revenue..The ultimate aim of ICAI shall be to earn money and regulate the pass % accoring to the requirement.

I know whats their requirement, but their requirement is not fulfilling our requirment. Their deliberate effort at every attempt is increasing our frustration. Majority of students are passing in atleast 3 attempts, then how can we expect to get a job in Big companies whose criteria is only first attempt CA. That companies should also consider the ongoing scenario of passing percentage.

Absolutly right...Large number of students were joins the course  with the advent of CPT..  But from November results onwards there is a decrease in results.... Taking more chance for clearing..Some were not clearing and leaving the CA course, some were trying too hard but again fails..

We can expect the trend will become better for the future

ok

i m too 100% agree wid u . we shud agitete against the ICAI.PLZ ZALL STUDTS COME ON and unite together.

I also doubt whether the institute is manipulating results and ruining the lives of students. My friend got an exemption in MAFA in June 2009 and failed in that attempt by few marks in a subject. In Nov 2009 again, he failed by few marks in a different subject. This may 2010, luckily he just passed scoring 40 in that particular subject. so he could clear group I. However he did not get the kind of marks that he was expecting. Since Nov 2010 is the last attempt for old syllabus he is doubtful of scoring 50% to pass. Please Vivek Sir or someone else provide some useful tips on what topics to concentrate for the nov exams inorder to get pass %.
