Compliance officer of listed company

1) Can a practicing company secretay be compliance officer of the listed company ?? If yes pl give the supporting regulation

As the term itself implies, compliance officer must first be an officer of the company. PCS is a consultant and can be authorised representative of the company in various matters before various authorities. However, he cannot be an officer of the company. [Ref. Sec. 2(59) of Companies Act 2013]. Hence the question of PCS being appointed as compliance officer does not arise.
