hello everyone pls tell this postal ballot concept is applicable to all listed co's whether it is public or private or to only public listed co's..... and abt the casting power of chairman in special resolution and in ordinary resolution when votes in favour are 40, against 40, 20 don't vote then what will be the status of the resolution.......

In my opinion -
- The concept of postal ballot is applicable for listed public cos.
- In case of equality of votes, if the chairman don't use its casting vote in favour, the resolution will be lost.
- In your case in special resolution its bound to be lost even if some more votes are put in its favour as 3/4th majority is required.
