As per sec. 270, a director must hold qualification shares within 2 months if it is required by the articles but my question is that whether wife's shareholding can be treated as the share qualification of newly appointed director???

His wife is also director of this Company ??????
no his wife is not a director in that company. she is only registered shareholder in that company.
The shares held by the wife of the director can not be treated as the qualification shares of director.
Section 270 clearly requires holding of qualification shares by the director & for this, he must be the registered shareholder.
