can any please tell m what is promoters importance in company in detail and how do they actually perform in company what is there source of income

Promoters R subscribing articles and memo of company,their roles,duties specify by articles of associations,actually performance depend upon company objectives and their duties towards attainments of same.
Every shareholder is a member, but every member need not be a shareholders. There is difference between Memebrs and Shareholders.Sec 41 of the companies Act, 1956 clearly defines. For better understanding please read out Membership in a Company in co's act.
Generally Promoters will be major Shareholders of the Company. The Promoters will become Shareholders of the Company, as soon as the company is formed and they can can excercise the Shareholders Right.They are the important for the formantion of the Company and their Source of Income is dividend, after becoming shareholders.
