Hi Friends,

I need ur take on this.

I am a MBA Finance, currently working with one of the Big 4 Consultancy Firms.

I have realized the importance of having an accountancy qualification under my belt. ( Hopefully its not too late)

I seem to be been more interested towards the commercial and strategic side of finance i.e financial management,financial planning & analysis rather than the tactical side of finace viz asset management, trading, equity research etc.

I have narrowed down to pursue one of the two accoutancy qualification - CMA, USA and CIMA(CGMA) UK.

I am quite confused as to which one shud I pursue.

I really cant distinguish between the two.

Both the qualifications are well respected globally as well in their respective regions.

Please spare some time out of your schedules to guide me on which qualification should I go ahead with.

I am not sure if CMA,US and CIMA,UK will be valued in big 4 in india as CA,CWA are valued here.Given a choice, definitely go for CIMA.Though 3 yrs practical experience has to met to gain CIMA.find more about how to gain such requirement.but I have a question Is CIMA or CMA valued in Big 4 ?

If you are planning on starting practice (job) in India then go with the traditional Indian CMA course. If you are open for MNCs and want to get yourself opportunities from abroad, CIMA could give you that push.
