Clarification regarding gmcs

You have to complete your gmcs 1 in first year of articleship. It is mandatory by ICAI and also a part of articleship so your office staff should not have any objection in this regard. If you do not complete your gmcs-1 then you have to take residential classes of three months after completion of your articleship which in my view is waste of time.I also had same problem but i insist my CA and he allowed me.so its better you ask your office people again and explain them about the whole thing...

For that you have to go to institute...there you will get all information.on ICAI site nothing is provide in this regard.

Yes The problem is that .. Nothing as to what is to be  done such cases is not given in the Website Too ! Anyways Thank U Very much Yaar !

Dear Sriharsha............

The Institute has not descrined any rule for not comply GMCS in time. It only specified the eligibilty and training of GMCS, but not consequences. Most of the Institute have face the same problems.

GMCS ELIGIBILITY

A student who has passed Intermediate / Professional Education (Examination – II) / Professional Competence Course and is serving his last 12 months of articles is eligible to complete the course. The requirement of compulsory attendance in this course applies to all the Articled/ Audit Assistants:

A student after being declared successful in the Final Examination under old or new scheme can be admitted as an associate member only after completion of the course on General Management and Communication Skills

A student who completes Three Months’ Residential Programme in General Management, Personality Development and Communication Skills organized by the Board of Studies will not be required to undergo GMCS Course.

i had john articleshilp on 30/09/2012,i have completed  but i did not complete my g m c s but my friends are telling it will effect my articleship please any one tell me
