Hi

In the case of Amalgamation in the nature of merger of a company where IND AS is not applicable, whether the previous year comparable figures in the Balance sheet and P&L A/C need to be reinstated to include the Financial statements of the merged company where the appointed date of merger was two years earlier to the date of current balance sheet.

Everything is based on pre and post acquisition. This hs nothing to do with anything. Accounts are adjusted for every change when it occurs. So your merger accounts must have been prepared during that time, 2 years ago if this is what  you said that merger occurred 2 years ago and accounts not finalized..

By the way I forgot synergies mean nothing to reporters. Besides this, I will do a basic research and find out if there is anything new by tomorrow.

This pooling of interest method under amalgamation as mergers, yes P&L is reinstated in merger accounts. But the merger accounts are prepared in the year of merger.

I have attached a screen shot of it. Here no good will arises in the pooling of interest method. However you know the P&L reconciliation can be a mere retained earnings.
