Clarification on input tax credit

ITC / Input 654 views 6 replies

Hi,

I'm a seller of palm jaggery item which is exempted from GST.

And the packing materials for the same comes at 18%.

I'm selling the product through amazon where I'll be billed at 18% for delivery service.

Whether I can take credit for the packing material  delivery service.

If so how it can be taken?

Yes... You can Take the ITC for Purchase of Packing materials if it's from Registered Dealer...

Thanks for your reply sir. I use those packing material for exempted goods. Will that be issues or can claim the credit.

You cam claim credit of same as you are using that for exempted as well as taxable services......

Only Excempted then no need

Taxpayer is a cloth or textile merchant. He has purchased a TV(for shop purpose), mixer grinder (for use of staff), few electrical fittings & led bulbs (for shop renovation). can he avail GST credit paid on the above purchases?

No need means I cant take ITC or I can do?
