clarification

esteemed caclub members .plz clarify on ths.
if a student(intermediate) enters into can career through cpt and he has given 4/5 attempts.and unable to clear becoz he worried about his attempts.he is now final year of degree.so he chooses to get fresh registration through direct entry scheme after graduation.
his idea is if he goes through direct scheme he will get new SRO Num and his attempt will be treated as 1st attempt.
