Claiming HRA exemption even it id not there in Form 16

Hi,

My query is whether exemptions in case of an employee under section 10 can be claimed where such amount is not reflected in his Form 16...

of course you claim hra but it depend on three condition according to income tax and check which condition is follow.minimum amount you can claim hra.
must have evidence and proof if called for in all cases where u claim deductions not incorporated in form 16.
Yes you can claim HRA exemption at the time of filing of your income tax return in case it is not incorporated in Form 16 subject to proof and documents as said by Mr. Rajkumar TG

whether company has allowed hra but inadvertently missed to show in form 16? If yes the you can claim hra. but if no hra is given by employer then it will be Nil and hence out of three categories where u need to select minimum of them will be Nil one and you won't get HRA. in that case u can claim rent in section 80GG
Yes you can claim, but you will have to produce proofs supporting your claim when called for by Assessing Officer.
