Cheque Received from IT Department

MY CLIENT HAS RECEIVED CHEQUE FROM INOCME TAX DEPARTMENT , ASSESSE BEING HUF.

 

DUE TO SOME UNAVOIDABLE CIRCUMSTANCES AND PERSONAL REASON THE CLIENT COULD NOT

CLEAR THAT CHEQUE AND THEIR WAS NO BANK ACCOUNT IN THE NAME OF HUF.

THE CHEQUE HAS TURNED INTO STAKE CHEQUE SINCE THE VALIDITY OF THE CHEQUE HAS EXPIRED.

 

KINDLY IF ANYONE KNOWS LET ME KNOW THE PROCEDURE FOR REISSUANCE OF CHEQUE.

submit the cheque to ITO for revalidation request, under stamped aknowledgement

keep a xerox copy of cheque for further follow up.

First open a new bank account on the name of HUF (if already opened than ok) now
Send that cheque to SBI banker, Mumbai along with application of issuing new one, also send an application to ITO of your ward, with the reason of adding bank account number and increasing date,

(as far as i know there is no procedure of revalidating in new system, so they will issue new cheque to you..  )
