Please tell me that which act is applicable in case of charitable trust in Uttar Pradesh.

You can register an NGO in UP state capital under UP State Societies Registration Act or as a not-for-profit company under Companies Act. You need 7+ members for a Society and 3+ Members under Companies Act.

Thank you for your prompt response.
I have to register a new trust kindly tell me the law governing charitable trusts in Uttar Pradesh not for society or company.

Dear Sir,

I have replied to that only.

First trust is registered either under society act or company act, then it is registered under income tax act for sec. 12AA exemption (i.e. charitable purpose).
