Can we charge CST Tax on demo goods or sample goods which are sold for marketing purpose in exhibition & no consideration is receivable for such goods but excise is already charged on such goods?

sales tax or vat is chargeable only if there is consideration as there is no consideration so no question of any tax,either vat or cst

cst(vat) and excise are different statutes excise is on production of goods (txable event)
where as in cst(vat) the taxable event is sale on sale value as there is no value so no question of chargeability
