Challan num begin with zero. portal making mistake

Quick Summary
Users are reporting a persistent issue with the new ITR portal where it incorrectly drops leading zeros from challan numbers, causing them to be recorded as shorter and invalid. This leads to tax credit mismatches and potential demand notices, even when the challan number is correctly entered and verified on OLTAS and 26AS. While some users have experienced their returns being processed without issue despite the mismatch appearing on the portal, others are still awaiting resolution. It appears to be a software bug that the IT department may be aware of.

@ Jagdish is it showing Tax credit mismatch to you as well in portal.

Actually under Tax credit mismatch for me no data available as of now. I dont think it will show mismatch as in AIS portal same challan number appearing(without leading zeros).

I checked my AIS, as you mentioned its showing challan number without zero.
My worry is portal showing Tax credit mismatch.

Anyway tax credit mismatch will not have any issue in this case. As mentioned @ Peer, he also had same issue but ITR processed without any error

In my ITR2 since last two years I am getting tax cr mismatch for Advance/Self assessment tax I paid and as the case is where all these challans first digit is zero.

I raised this issue to IT dept  TDCPC through no of grievances to which they replied to file rev return.Even after filing rev return same thing persisted.

However for both AY 22 23 and 23 24 the 143(1) was intimated with no tax no refund by taking into act the tax paid, means no effect of tax cr mismath though it still shows in the portal.

It appears to be a software bug and hoping to  get rectified soon.
