Chairman of the co. to attend agm through video conferencing

Dear All,

Good evening

My query is that the Chairman of the Company lives abroad and may not be able to attend the AGM physically. The Secretarial Standards suggest that shareholders may attend the AGM through video conferencing.

However, is it possible that the Chairman or any other Director attends the meeting through Video conferencing? Or their physical presence is mandatory? It is a Private Limited Company.
