As per sec 54 and cgas scheme, Such deposits may be made in one lump sum or in installments at any time on or before the due date of furnishing the return of income under subsection (1) of section 139 of the Act as is applicable in the case of the depositor. What if govt extend the due date to 30 sep? Will that extend the time limit for CGAs deposit as well since it says upto due date of furnishing ROI?
Going by the provisions, I think we can interpret extension of time limit for ITR would also mean extension of time limit for CG deposits too.
However, for this year, the govt has specifically extended the time limit for CG deposits too up to 30th sep.
Can you please provide the circular for CG deposit extension for this year ? I read that they only extended the due date for itr filing
