CFP (Certified Financial Planning)
What do you think is the future in CFP?
Mostly CFPs are hired as relationship manager (sales/marketing). The exams are pretty tough and also expensive. Is it worth doing the course for somebody who isn't interested in sales/marketing?

Hey Mihir , me too registered for CFP, first of all its nothing to do with sales or marketing, secoundly if u are a CA inter level these exams are like school exams for u , i have cleared 3 papers ... for me CFP is just a tag or extra qualification beside my CA :) u know it adds value to your resume , more over it cost Rs 40,000 in full to complete the progame.
I am doing CFP b'cos, to add vale to my resume ... moreover we get idea on the individual finance planing also this may help us sometime you know and may be personally too

Hey Sree, nice to know about you. I agree that CFP will give immense understanding in managing our own personal finance. But in case of employment, companies prefer a CFP for relationship manager, and their job profile is primarily selling their investment products like insurance, mutual fund, etc. I am still struggling with CFP examination. I am trying to find some good books to prepare for the CFP exams. Now they have removed the negative markings but raised passing mark to 60% from 50%. What study material are you using for CFP exams?
I use IIFB books yar ... good books ... are u sure they have incresed pass % to 60 ? anyways ... nice to meet u
And u know what with CFP qualification ... u can make to any bank ( Not only marketing ) , but u need to clear some bank exams as well , and they pay verry good man ! Just an Plan B in case CA takes more time than we expected ... we have some options @ hand right :)
Yes, I agree, we got to have a plan B, plan C. I have ICFP books. They are good for information but does not help much in exams, though. In my opinion, the banking industry has become so technology-driven that they mostly need employees to interact with the people regarding bank's tech-services, which is marketing. The specialized job is done by the top-level management. I am also trying to come up with a Plan B or C.

I would like to suggest you to check for DSP Financial Black Rock. You will get steps to get your carrer done in CFP. CFP is good platform and serving number of job opprtunities in the market.
