Hiiiiiii i am also from delhi appearing in june 2010 also, thanks for making study group , i wanna know one thing how to prepare for quants because in CA i dont have that much probability concepts , second thing i wanna know about calculator , although they specified the calculators but wanna know where it is available in delhi

I think u should try nehru place for HP calculator

well hp calculators are not preferable oveer BA2 plus. they are expensive and  carry only 2 additional keys as well

well.... m frm mumbai ! its a gd idea of sharing knowledge in the community

well maninder u can go for online shopping, i think texas( BA II )IS available on both yahoo shopping and rediff shopping

Hello All,

Its a good thought to create a study Group of the people persuing CFA Level 1 , in June2010. I applied for the same and will give the exams from the Exam Centre in Zurich.

FYI, there is a institute which provides coaching and also some study material for CFA.  Although the material are a little bit expensive for an individual but i think if 3-4 people living near by and can join and share, then the study material are good and seems to helpful to prepare for the CFA . Also, for Calculators, i have checked on the site and seems that Texas (BA2) seems to be better than HP since HP has some additional feature but not worth with almost 2.5 times of the cost of Texas. Both of them can be ordered online. This is my personal view.

Here are the details of the Mock CFA Level 1 test conducted by US based CFA prep company Elan Guides (www.elanguides.com).

Please note the date, timing and venue for the Free Mock CFA, Level 1.

The free mock exam of 3 hours will be followed by a Q&A session by Basit, CEO, Elan Guides, USA. He would highlight on the focus areas of prep for the CFA test, and specifically on what does not get covered sufficiently in popular CFA prep books.

Basit's profile is as follows:Basit is a CFA graduated with honors from the world renowned Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, USA with majors in Finance and Legal Studies. He went on to obtain his CFA Charter in 2006, passing all three Levels at the first attempt. Basit has his own private wealth management business, and has been teaching CFA candidates across all three levels for the past several years.
