Dear Friends

I have already cleared Ist grp and appeared in IInd grp in Nov14 and presently working in a KPO. Now I am interested in doing some additional course. As per my present work profile both CFA and CIMA are good options for carrier advancement. If anyone has specific knowledge/issues abt pros and cons and which is better, then pls share..

thread for understanding CFA better.

Cant say about CIMA.

You can choose as per your work profile which suits you best. CFA is related to investment management, portfolio management, and cima is related to management accounts. Both qualifications are globally recognised. You will need approx 4 years for cfa while cima could be ccompleted in less time as you can exemption in various subjects

Just to clarify, it takes 2 yrs to complete CFA (exams) if planned well.

CFA as mentioned it deals with investments and CIMA with overall as being as Management accountants their Area will be of an Strategic manager(CEO) which include that of CFA again that is in your personal interest where compared to CFA go for CIMA as global placements are more.. And i personally feel as you going to be a CA so better opt for CPA or ACCA that will be in your main domain... Finally all are at your decision only Best of luck for International Recognition and for your CA group II also...!!!
Can CA and CIMA persue at the same time. Or plz give any suggestions and strategy to effectively manage both course.
