Exam Content
The Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA®) exam tests a candidate's knowledge of current internal auditing practices and understanding of internal audit issues, risks and remedies. The exam is offered in four parts, each part consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions.

Parts 1, 2, and 3 are considered the core global syllabus of the CIA exam - offering a strong focus on corporate governance and risk issues and exhibiting alignment with The IIA's Professional Practices Framework. Part IV of the CIA exam is designed for modification for regional and audit specialization testing. Hence, The IIA offers Professional Recognition Credit for Part 4 (PRC-4) for qualified professional certifications.

Exam Nondisclosure  
The CIA exam is a nondisclosed examination, which means that current exam questions and answers will not be published or divulged.  

Note: Exam topics and/or format are subject to change as approved by the Board of Regents.

Hi,

Im working in the Risk Managment team of my company and interested in pursuing the Certified Internal Auditor course.

 As I understand( going through the IIA website) the course has been changed to Part 3 as against the earler Part 4 examination.what will be the timeframe required to prepare for this exam?

Could you please help me on how to prepare for the course? what type of study materials are available? The online bookstore seems to be a bit expensive are there any alternative books/materials or CD's available in India?

It would be great if you can guide on this.
