I am trying to fill the online form for ST-1 and have trouble in the Ctegory Of Registrant Segment -
(a).Person liable to pay service tax
(i).Service Provider
(ii).Service Recipient
(b). Other persons/class of persons
(i).Input Service Distributor
(ii).Any provider of taxable service whose aggregate value of taxable service in a financial year exceeds nine lakh rupees
What should i fill in these?
Mine is a sole proprietorship company and we are into software projects and consultancy services. Often our clients ask us to put service tax number in our invoices also there are times when we also get things done from outsiders like (design/print) etc.
So when we send out bills we need to put our service tax number but we also need to pay when people send us bills. In this case what should we tick mark?
Also,we are entering under "Taxable services provided : "
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SOFTWARE SERVICE is it appropriate?
