In Cash Flow Statement's presentation, is Direct Method reqd. from exam point of view? or preparing for Indirect Method as prescribed by AS3 is sufficient?

Both the methods can be followed. But indirect method is prescribed, and from exam point of view u can score good marks with using indirect method.

YOU SHOULD KNOW BOTH METHODS ,IF NOTHING IS MENTIONED IN THE QUS. THEN YOU SHOULD SOLVE THE QUS. BY BOTH METHOD.
read both of the methods, anyone can be asked either in acc or in costing..

U Have to prepare for Both The methods, But Solve answers from the method which was asked in the question. And If nothing is mentioned in the question then solve it from Indirect Method.
Both the methods should be prepared to write your exam well.....
We should be familiar with both the methods but as per my ref. to many suggested answers of the istitute if question doesn't mention the method to be used while solving the answer then institute suggested have been solved the answer with direct method of AS-3 I think we should follow the intitute suggested or not?
As you can see the greats have given their verdict and it's true. prepare for both the methods to score well in exams.
Read both method , sometimes questions have specific instruction to solve by particular method.
