Hi, I m asking this becoz I m in dilemma what to do and what not do. First of all, I would like tell something about myself. I passed CA final in May 2013 in first attempt, after that I joined a reputed audit firm in Delhi in statutoty audit, where there were only outstation audits.I worked there for 1 Year & 8 months. I was fed up with traveling then I joined a US based renowned Software co as a ERP tester. This profile is not related to CA and now I feel that I have done a mistake after joining this co. is it so ? I left my core field. Although salary is gud but I dont like this job. Sometimes, I think that I will do some courses like CFA or FRM, Sometimes I think that I will Join banking. I m totally messed now.I have total experience of 2.6 Years.

Please suggest me:

1. Should I leave my current Job and join any other CO. related to CA field ?

2. Should I pursue other courses like CFA or FRM ?

Your suggestions can change my life. Looking forward for ur valuable suggestion.

Thanks in advance.

Usually career transitioning is a grim  task and involves change of lifestyles and more so ever shifting careers is difficult to explain to not only your prospective employers but also  managing families and friends, therefore ensuring that you have compelling narrative makes it seem genuine. However in your case since you are still 2.6 years old in your career, you may not really have to face a lot of questions.

CA is a low paying job initially however once you have created your mark and specialised the remuneration is surely bombastic. Doing a CFA or FRM will definitely perk up your profile. One should always do what they are passionate about and clearly CA is something you love, as your cleared it in first attempt speaks volumes

Thanks for prompt reply but still my question is not resolved. What should I do now ?

Should I leave my current job and join any finance company ?

or should I do the course like CFA or FRM simultneoulsy with my current job ?

There is nothing related to CA field in jobs.Yes may do tax compliance in addition but not primarily. If you want to stick to core CA thing like tax and audit, then start public practice or work in Big 4.Start earning experience industry related.Don't pursue CFA or FRM.Yes if u like your job eventually then you can do relevant course like in IT-CISA,Internal audit-CIA so on which are add value to your designation and work.Don't pursue any Post qualification course of ICAI.Ask those who have done already. If not worthy, just take the books and do self study.
