Capital gains tax

Case 1 : If the shares purchased on different dates are sold on a particular day, how to calculate capital gain/loss.

Case 2 : If a particular company's shares sold on a particular day and capital gain is earned and the same shares are bought on the same day at reduced rate than the selling rate and taken delivery of the same, will it be treated as intraday transaction or treated as two different transactions.

Please clarify. Thanks.

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies capital gains tax calculations for shares. It addresses how to calculate gains or losses when shares purchased on different dates are sold on the same day. Additionally, it explains whether selling and repurchasing the same company's shares on the same day, with delivery taken, is treated as two separate transactions or an intraday speculative one.

1. Date wise calculation of capital gain
2. intra day transaction
Case 1- Date wise, considering short term and long term as per period of holding
Case 2- If same day and non delivery based - Speculation

If shares held already are sold and bought both on delivery basis of the same company on the same day will it be treated as two different transactions. Please clarify. Thanks.
