it's confirmed, Date for Investment under section 54EC in notified bond is extended to 30th September, 2020.

Find attached Government notification for your reference
in which it's mentioned that "section 54 to 54GB......date extended to 30th day of September, 2020 "...(54 to 54GB means it's include 54EC also)

Thank you so much for all the help Sagar ji.....

Sagar ji
I'm extremely sorry for the inconvenience. I had one more query regarding the 5000000 NHAI bond investment. Is it better to invest in only one bond? Also, whom should I consult in purchasing this bond? Would you preferably please suggest someone regarding this from Kolkata by providing his/her contact details?!
It's ok...feel free to contact
I think you can purchase this bond through your bank also.

but I hope you are also aware about/assessed other options/provisions like

1. If you sale rural agriculture land than its totally exempt from tax.
2. If you sale urban agriculture land than you can claim Exemption by purchasing other agricultural land.
3. You can also purchase residential House if you have not more than 1 house

land sold by you is rural agriculture/Urban agriculture/plot/non agriculture.... which??

If Sec.54 EC bond purchase, than you can't sold that for 5 years, if sold before 5 year than it's taxable in that year.

The eligible bonds under Section 54EC are REC (Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd), PFC (Power Finance Corporation Ltd) and NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) and IRFC (Indian Railways Finance Corporation Limited).

It's having a Interest rate around 5 to 7 %

Note : suggest you to post this query regarding (contact details of person in kolkata for investment).. to expert section of caclubindia
Thank you so much sir for your valuable guidance.
There is only 4 bonds which is eligible bonds under Section 54EC:
1.REC (Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd), 2.PFC (Power Finance Corporation Ltd) 3.NHAI (National Highways Authority of India)
4.IRFC (Indian Railways Finance Corporation Limited)

Coupon rate for all the bonds are 5% per annum if purchase after 01.08.2020 (before it's 5.75%) an lock in period of 5 years.

All bonds are high rated bonds and backed by government security. No change of default or money lost like Fixed deposit.

So, it doesn't matter you invest in one bond or more than one.. because all are same.

You can purchase this bonds from bank branch authorised for this.( SBI Cap, IDBI, Axis, HDFC, ICICI)...but it's available in limited branches, not in all branches.
Okkk... Many many thanks for your guidance and help sagar ji... Sorry!!! For inconvenience
