I'm a salaried employee and working in a MNC, currently i'm suffering from Cancer since July'2014.
And my employer is providing me salary even i'm not able to go to office.
My question is that can i get deduction u/s 80-U and is my disease is meet the requirement of definitation of "disability".
I have to file my FY14-15 return in ITR-1 or ITR-2
Pls assist.
Its cover under 80DDB . Cancer is not covered in definition of disability.

Cancer is not covered under disability to claim 80U.
However this desease is covered under section 80DDB. so to claim the expense deduction go to 80DDB.
You can file ITR-1.
