Dear Neha,

If you like to take immediate action than you have to visit the superintendent  to whom the application was sent in the department. give a written application in this regard and he will cancel your application for amendment with immediate effect.

the second thing you can do is don't submit the document up to 15 days from application, than your application will automatically be cancelled and than you can again submit it after rectification.
