One of my client who is having CNG station ( Non GST product ) taken a registration under GST because earlier had taken registration under Maharashtra VAT will it be possible to cancel registration under GST .TIA.

Yes you can go for cancellation of GST Registration or the same might have been cancelled because on non filing of returns.
All the returns have to be filed upto the date of cancellation for approval of cancellation.

No there is no such criteria
No there is no such criteria for mandatory registration. But all VAT/CST registered dealers were migrated to GST. At that time the dealer was required to surrender the registration.
