Cancellation of Gst registration procedure

Sir, a registered dealer want to cancel his registration as he is filing nil return from Dec month.

Please provide procedure as on portal it is showing that at least 1 year you can't apply for cancellation from date of registration.

Please check i think the provision is changed now . You can file for cancellation

Dear Sirs. As per Rule 20 of CGST Rules 2017, you can cancel GST Registration. If your registration is voluntarily, then you cannot cancel before expiry of one year from the effective date of registration. Please go through Rule 20 of CGST Rules, 2017, which provides detailed procedure to be followed by you for cancellation of GST Registration. You can mention that your registration was not voluntary and therefore proviso to rule 20 is not applicable in your case. Good Luck to you.
