Can LLP be a shareholder

Hi All,

Can an LLP be a shareholder of a company.

In my view, as LLP is a limited liability firm, having a distinct identity and therefore should be entitled to hold shares.

Alternate views are invited.

Yes it can

Provided AOA permits

Yes it can as LLP has perpectual sucession and distinct existance and is an artificial body which has the featured of a Ltd Company.

Thanks Rachana and Jithesh.
