Please elaborate
No
But if such policy is mandatory under any law then you can claim itc
No ....it's specifically block under Section 17(5)
For which period ?
No ITC available as same is blocked under Sec17(5).

ITC of Personal expenses not allowed.
In case of mediclaim of personal nature then ITC cannot be claimed on personal expenses
Your querry is related to mediclaim which you have taken for self then the same can't be taken as per the law. If you are a employer and you are required to take medical insurance policy as per legal requirement then the same is not Blocked.
You can claim deduction under section 80D in the Income tax act regarding mediclaim insurance policy for self.
Completely agreed with Sonu Agrawal
Thanks
Welcome........
It is block s u/s 17(5) but during Lockdown MHA issued guildlines to all employers to take medical insurance compulsory and as per law if mandatory by law itc will available but there is a confusion bco guildlines changed every 15 days and it was temporarily basis it we take credit may be officer disallowed becoz guildlines are only for specific period
