Can i file income tax return against e verification id of compliance portal

I could not file income tax return of AY 2017-18 as i had no adhar card / enrollment number. Now i have adhar card. Meanwhile in the compliance portal of my income tax account, compliance for non filling of income tax return is displyed. This display has a specific E - verification ID of 12 digit.

In compliance, i submitted " Return under preparation" and in remark i put " aadhar was not available up to last date of filling return so could not filed."

Now how can i file income tax return as retun now can be filed under specific section only and with reference of notice nyumber and date only.

no you cannot file ITR for a.y. 2017-18

U can file it by moving a condonation of delay application before the concerned Principal Commissioner of Income tax

The due date for filing the belated ITR said Financial year was 31st March 2018. hence the return cannot be filed u/s 139(4).

As you have been issued with the notice u/s 142, you can file a Income Tax Return u/s 142, furinishing the details of the income as you would do incase of fresh return for that year. It amounts to a valid return if accepted. In that case, the return requires the Notice number and notice issued date. That has to be furnished accurately.

hello, Can someone clarify this. What order number and date be used for filing such returns. We just have a e-verfication id number from complaince portal
