I am out of job and no salary income. My only source of income is from interest from fixed deposits in the bank. I am living in a rented house and paying rent on monthly basis.
Can I claim deductions for the rent I am paying ? If yes , how much I can claim and which IT tax sections applies to this scenario.
will HRA can be applicable to people who are not in job ????

To claim rent deduction you should have either business or salary+hra income against it.
Without that no deduction.......
