As per your query: Challan is having a ITNS 280 it is a code given to the challan for income tax like challan No./ITNS 281 is for TDS/TCS tax challan. Also, for the genuinity of the challan you can find the bank's stamp on the challan. you can find the copy(SAMPLE for your understanding) of Challan No./ITNS 280 on https://www.incometaxindia.gov.in/forms/107010000000345599.pdf .

Furthermore, you can login to https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-Filing/UserLogin/LoginHome.H T M L to check your Income tax return filed. (to login in this page you need username and password which you can collect from your CA).
