Dear Boarders,

I have a HUF & want to know if trades done by any of its Co-Parcners or member of the HUf in their own name can be booked into the accounts of the HUF or not?? Since the HUF was not having any of the trading account in its own name whereas a member has the same & has done trading in his own name....Can I make some arrangement like make a  agreement specifying that the member has traded on behalf of the HUF and any tax liabilities arising out of such trades will be borne by the HUF & not the member.... Plz. enlighten me on this...Thanks

No, for trading in stocks account should be opened in the name of HUF and not the coparcener. Else you will need to do a lot of explanation to the department and still they will apply clubbing provisions for diversion of income u/s64 and tax income in the hands of coparcener.
