Tution fees paid for childrens studies only claim U/S 80C for regular studies only not for private or distance education cources upto two childrens choice of yours which is most useful. The person actually paid fee should be claim i.e. father or mother who is the payer

Dear All,

Please review the above fee recipt, gives your further comment.

Mr.Arun since the payment is made for your own studies and not for children it is not deductible......

Deduction for tuition fees can only be claimed for two children only not for any other person this facility is only available for full time courses only

Mr. Arun no body has choice to claim tution fee u/s 80C deduction because fee paid for distance education. Section 80C allows tution fee for regular studies or courses only

Mr. Arun, i think there is an option of claiming deduction in ur case... As who's paying the amount and from which account the payment has been made, is not specified...

Ur father can claim such deduction stating that he's amde such payment.... I think it will be allowed... DISTANCE STUDIES has nothing to do with it....
