Hi friends,

I hope some of you who are appearing for campus placements this month. I have a few queries:

1. what is meant by shortlisting of candidates in Round I ?

2. How do they send databases of candidates to the companies ?

3. How do we know how many companies are participating in the campus interview ?

4. I saw this morning that my name is not shortlisted by any company. If my name is not shortlisted, is there any open interview conducted by any company ?

5. Does preference of posting place have any thing to do with short listing. Because i have given my preferred place as chennai.

1. ON the basis of your resume & their requirement, companies will shortlist the candidates whom they want to interivew, so its the first step.

2. U have submitted ur resume at CMII, a database has been created & it'll be automatically available to cos. who are participating.

3. Cos. names have started appearing on the site along with a brief intro, u can also attend the powerpoint presentation programme on 4th for further details.

4. Yes, some cos. do conduct open interviews during last days of placement & u need not to worry, today is the first day, soon u'll start getting shortlisted.

5. It may affect, its simply the choice of companies, i.e. what they want, so shortlisting depends on their criteria.
