what is the criteria of companies for selection of candidates for round I . Do they select only candidates having excellent academic qualifications or candidates done articleship only from top 20 firms.

How well you present yourself matters a lot. At the end of the day it is not just academics which which land you in a sound job, it is your ability to understand your employer's requirement.
You need to sound confident and positive. Being honest is the biggest hallmark most employers anticipate from employees. Wish you good luck.
