Campus package - your experience

Hi Sam..Well from my side, I dont have much to share. My cousin sister has cleared this nov and registered for campus placement. She choose Ernakulam as the small centre..and unfortunately only a single company(Federal Bank) will be recruiting from the EKM centre. Hv given below the position & ctc offered by Federal Bank.

Where'd you get this information from? As far as I understand, this information is only released to those who are sitting for the Campus, i.e. your cousin sister?

Is there any alternative source for getting such information, for people who aren't sitting for the Campus? This is exactly what I'd like to see for each company, it's pretty much the summarized form of what the role offers, where you'd be placed and what you'll get paid.

And, I remember from our last conversation that your cousin sister chose Bangalore as the bigger centre as well, so I'm assuming you'll be getting the same sort of a summarized view for the Companies recruiting from Bangalore as well?

Please have that posted here as well.

Yeah u are right..Only those who have registered for campus get this type of info. But it is only regd the companies in which they get shortlisted..U wont get info on all the companies participating. My cousin sister got shortlisted in Federal Bank(thatz the only company coming to ekm campus) and thats why I cud get this info. Definitely will share info abt the companies at Bangalore in which she gets shortlisted.

Hi Sam here are the firms in which my cousin sister got short listed at Bangalore:

One of my friend has been shortlisted for scope intl (the back office of standrd chartered) in chennai. Since it was a back office, he was having second thoughts about going for the same. The package offered was 6L p.a.  And the desigantion had been mentioned as-challengong roles in finance.

Ah. It's probably daily P&L tallying, reconciliation of trades etc. Most companies like, Credit-Suisse, Standard Chartered Scope, JM Financials etc., will probably offer the same roles.

But it's funny how the HR Department simply stated "Challenging Roles in Finance" as the job descripttion. I think they ought to be a little more professional by being transparent & elucidatory.

Yes, the HR could have explained it in a more lucid manner. Hope the ppt presentation says it all. We are thinking on those lines.
