Calls in arrears director disqualification

section 164 (1)(f) clearly says that
1) a person shall not be eligible for appointment as a director of compay if
f)he has not paid any calls in respect of any shares of the company held by him, whether alone or jointly with others, and six months have elapsed from the last day fixed for the payment of the call

as per this section appointment includes reappointment he cannot be eligible to get appointed in that company

however he can be appointed as a manager sec 196(3) is silent on this

It means in is life time he cant be appointed as director in such company.am i right sir?

Not only in that Company in ANY company he/she will not able to appoint or reappoint as director.
