I am the owner of a small business in transport. I want to ask how do we calculate service tax on transport? I also went through another site https://bit.ly/Smallbuiz that has a similar query. I want some more info on the same. The services that are being offered in this Intuit initiative are for free.
The service tax is on the consigner & consignee in transpot business & not on the owner of the transporter subject to u didnt avail the any cenvat credit on input,so just mention in the invoice that it is liable by consignor /consignee & u didnt avail any cenvat credit,& u r now not liable for servicetax
