In many CA firms in India, young girls working as articled clerks are made to work very late in the night, to meet auditing deadlines. With the Delhi incident, it is appropriate time to raise this issue now. ICAI shall strictly instruct all the CA firms not to
detain lady-articles in own/client office late in the night. I hope my message starts a discussion on this and bring awareness about this late-working of lady-artices in \ca firms, which is very prevalent. All CA firms shall allow lady-articles to leave office max by 6 pm, given that it normally takes more than 1 hr to reach home.
