Ca inter with 6 yrs bankin experience in internal audit go f

My friend is a CA inter. He left his CA in 98 and since then he is wrking in Bankin in internal audit department, but not getting the rewards and promotions. He also changed his job twice in 9 years. But he is extremely dissactisfied right now with the way his career is moving. any suggestions.. as to what should he do? Should he go for some studies or course. He is also wanting to take up a job out of india?
Any suggestions there?
