Ca- how to succeed in practical world

I have cleared first group of ca final and about to clear second in may 14. I have done M.com. But I am quite worried (actually confused) about so many talks and rumors regarding future of CA.

Someone says CA has a bright future. While others say CA itself is not enough. So i am confused whether i must do something more than CA.

My question is straight. What does it take to succeed in finance career. Please guide me, which according to you among the below two strategies will help me to succeed in practical world.

1) CA alone is not enough for a good job, and I must have to do something extra.

2) If i say i am not a study lover then instead of taking multiple degrees or certificate courses, I should complete just CA and M.com and then focus on practical knowledge, soft skills, allied knowledge. Thanks

Mere getting of degree can not guarantee you a job in a company, it is just a requirement to get a interview, after that its all up to you. CA is a very wide course which provides you a comprehensive knowledge about finance field. you have to decide in which sector you have to go where you feel happy and satisfied and prepare for that... everything depends on your will and desire

Dear as of u i have cleared second group of Ca final and appearing in may for 1st group. But i never thinked that there is no future for ca" Bcs i think if i am a CA i will create my future myself, i do not expact that anyone give me my future brightness" rather then that i will use the resources of the MNC organisation and will be at position as i want.

As far as concerned with multiple degres....i have just planned to do some courses like...IFRS, CFA, CMA, etc any of one.

I want be a good business man in the field of Finance and information technology sector, along with forex advisior.

Bcs as i knwo there is too much scope for chartered Accountats.
